Rostock Central Station closed after bomb threat

Rostock (dpa/mv) - Rostock Central Station was closed on Wednesday morning after a bomb threat. The federal police reported that a suspicious object had been found in a rubbish bin.

The station and surrounding area were cordoned off. Passengers and staff were initially evacuated. Only a few hours later, the all-clear was given.

The suspicious object turned out to be harmless, the police said. Train traffic was resumed and the station was reopened. It was not yet clear who had made the threat. The federal police have started investigations.
