Japan boss Hajime Moriyasu has demanded Japan undergo radical change after the "unacceptable" Asian Cup debacle.

Moriyasu believes the tournament failure was a symptom of wider problems within Japanese football.

Speaking at a press conference, Moriyasu outlined his vision for Japan's football future.

Moriyasu's Vision for Japan's Football Future

Moriyasu wants to see Japan adopt a more attacking style of play.

He believes Japan must also improve its youth development system to produce more technically gifted players.

Moriyasu will meet with the Japanese Football Association (JFA) next week to discuss the implementation of his vision.

The JFA is expected to give Moriyasu's plans the green light.

The JFA knows they must act quickly to arrest Japan's slide down the FIFA world rankings.

Moriyasu's coaching team will also meet next week to discuss the Asian Cup results and Moriyasu's plans for the future.

The former Japan international is determined to lead Japan to success at the next Asian Cup in 2027.

However, he knows that Japan must improve significantly if it is to challenge the likes of Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
