WIA Gold Strikes High-Grade Intercepts in Côte d’Ivoire
Côte d’Ivoire Operations Continue to Deliver Strong Results
Vancouver, B.C. – WIA Gold Corporation (TSX-V: WIA) is pleased to announce the results of recent drilling at its flagship Côte d’Ivoire property. The drilling has intersected multiple high-grade gold intercepts, including:
- 20.1 g/t Au over 4.5m within a broader zone of 8.7 g/t Au over 12.3m
- 13.3 g/t Au over 4.0m within a broader zone of 4.4 g/t Au over 12.0m
- 9.2 g/t Au over 7.0m within a broader zone of 3.3 g/t Au over 17.0m
These results are significant as they further demonstrate the high-grade nature of the mineralization at the Côte d’Ivoire property. The drilling has also intersected a number of wide, lower-grade intercepts, which indicate the potential for a large, bulk-tonnage gold deposit.
Exploration Program Continues to Expand
WIA Gold is continuing its exploration program at the Côte d’Ivoire property. The program includes a combination of drilling, trenching, and geochemical sampling. The company is also planning a geophysical survey to further define the extent of the mineralization.
Côte d’Ivoire Property Has Significant Potential
The Côte d’Ivoire property is located in a highly prospective gold belt. The property is underlain by Birimian greenstone rocks, which are host to some of the world’s largest gold deposits. The property also has a number of artisanal gold workings, which further indicate the potential for a significant gold deposit.
WIA Gold is Well-Positioned for Growth
WIA Gold is a well-funded company with a strong technical team.
The company is well-positioned to advance the Côte d’Ivoire property through the exploration and development stages. The company is also looking to acquire additional properties in the Côte d’Ivoire gold belt.
