EC Bergkamen: Match against ERC Ingolstadt abandoned – Sunday match canceled
Bergkamen. The ice hockey regional league match between EC Bergkamen and ERC Ingolstadt 2 was abandoned on Tuesday evening after just 13 minutes. The reason was an injury to an ERC player.
The match was in the early stages when ERC Ingolstadt's Dominik Kopsch crashed into the boards and had to be treated by the medical service for a long time. Since he could not continue playing, the game was abandoned according to the regulations.
For EC Bergkamen, this means that the home game against Neusser EV on Sunday (4 p.m.) will also be canceled. Three Ingolstadt players tested positive for Corona on Monday, so the Bergkamen team is also in quarantine.
The game is likely to be made up next Tuesday (7 p.m.) in Ingolstadt.
The Bergkamen team is currently in seventh place in the standings with 23 points from 16 games. ERC Ingolstadt 2 is eleventh with 13 points from 17 games.
