On Sunday evening, two groups of people clashed in the Babelsberg district of Potsdam after a football match between SV Babelsberg 03 and FC Energie Cottbus. According to police, several people were injured in the violent clashes.

Police operation with a large contingent

The police were on duty with a large contingent after the game to prevent possible riots. Nevertheless, the situation escalated after a group of Cottbus fans attacked a group of Babelsberg fans with bottles and stones.

The police intervened and separated the two groups. Several people were taken into custody. The police are investigating the incident.
