Takkt: Little hope for the fourth quarter
Fourth-quarter sales below expectations, CEO resigns
Ratingen – The office supplies supplier Takkt AG has lowered its sales and earnings forecast for the fourth quarter of 2022. At the same time, CEO Felix Zimmermann is leaving the company at his own request.
According to the company, sales in the fourth quarter are expected to be "significantly" below expectations. The management board had previously assumed growth of four to eight percent. Takkt now expects sales to decline slightly. The adjusted EBIT margin is expected to be between three and four percent, below the previous forecast of four to five percent.
CEO resigns after three years
CEO Felix Zimmermann is leaving the company at his own request at the end of March 2023. He has been with Takkt for three years and has been CEO since the beginning of 2022. Under his leadership, Takkt has undergone a strategic realignment and strengthened its e-commerce business. However, the company has been struggling with the economic downturn and supply chain issues in recent quarters.
The Supervisory Board has appointed CFO Klaus Peter Neumann as interim CEO. The search for a permanent successor is ongoing.
