Potential voluntary public takeover offer for Salzgitter AG shareholders

Salzgitter, September 20, 2023 - According to today's announcement by Salzgitter AG, a potential investor is currently evaluating the submission of a voluntary public takeover offer pursuant to Section 29 (1) WpÜG to the shareholders of Salzgitter AG.

In this context, non-binding talks regarding a potential cash takeover offer have been held with the potential investor. The Management Board and Supervisory Board of Salzgitter AG expressly point out that no concrete takeover offer has been submitted yet and that there is no certainty that a takeover offer will be submitted.

Should Salzgitter AG receive a concrete takeover offer, it will examine it carefully and, if necessary, in consultation with external experts, with regard to its consequences for the company, its employees, and other stakeholders, and will then, in a timely manner, inform the public about the results of its examination.
