Rostock Central Station reopened after bomb threat

Police have lifted the cordon around Rostock Central Station after a bomb threat was found to be a hoax.

The station was evacuated and train services were suspended for several hours while police investigated the threat.

Police were called to the station at around 10am on Thursday after a suspicious package was found. The package was examined by bomb disposal experts and was found to contain no explosives.

The station was reopened at around 1pm and train services have resumed.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

The bomb threat caused disruption to rail services in the Rostock area, with several trains being cancelled or delayed.
