Storm Score 14/Robertson Walk-Off for FW

San Diego Padres minor league affiliates had a successful day on the diamond on Saturday, September 4.

The Lake Elsinore Storm, the Padres' Single-A affiliate, pounded out 14 runs in a 14-4 victory over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. Every Storm starter had at least one hit, and seven different players drove in runs.

Second baseman Justin Lopez led the way with three hits, including a double and a triple, and three RBIs.

The Fort Wayne TinCaps, the Padres' High-A affiliate, edged out the Dayton Dragons 4-3 in walk-off fashion.

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning, shortstop Gerardo Mesa drew a walk to bring home the winning run.

Pitcher Gabe Mosser earned the win for the TinCaps, allowing two runs on seven hits over 5 1/3 innings.
