PrepZone: Georgia Week 3 Scores and Highlights

Week 3 of the Georgia high school football season is in the books, and there were plenty of exciting games and highlights to go around.

Here's a look at some of the top scores and highlights from around the state:

In Class 7A, Collins Hill beat Grayson 24-21 in a thrilling overtime game. Grayson took an early lead, but Collins Hill came back to tie the game late in the fourth quarter. In overtime, Collins Hill won the toss and elected to receive the ball. They marched down the field and scored a touchdown to win the game.

In Class 6A, Milton beat Roswell 42-14 in a dominant performance. Milton's offense was unstoppable, scoring touchdowns on their first six possessions. Roswell's only touchdowns came on a fumble recovery and a kickoff return.

In Class 5A, Buford beat North Gwinnett 35-14 in a battle of two of the top teams in the state. Buford's defense was stifling, holding North Gwinnett to just 14 points. Buford's offense was also impressive, scoring touchdowns on all of their possessions.

In Class 4A, Cartersville beat Calhoun 28-21 in a close game. Cartersville took an early lead, but Calhoun came back to tie the game in the fourth quarter. Cartersville scored a late touchdown to win the game.

In Class 3A, Benedictine beat Savannah Christian 42-21 in a dominant performance. Benedictine's offense was unstoppable, scoring touchdowns on all of their possessions. Savannah Christian's only touchdowns came on a fumble recovery and a kickoff return.

In Class 2A, Fitzgerald beat Americus-Sumter 28-14 in a battle of two of the top teams in the state. Fitzgerald's defense was stifling, holding Americus-Sumter to just 14 points. Fitzgerald's offense was also impressive, scoring touchdowns on all of their possessions.

In Class 1A, Irwin County beat Schley County 42-21 in a dominant performance. Irwin County's offense was unstoppable, scoring touchdowns on all of their possessions. Schley County's only touchdowns came on a fumble recovery and a kickoff return.
