Make That Kid An Offer is a national award given to young people ages 10 to 18 who have embarked on social ventures.
Nominations are accepted twice a year and selected winners are awarded scholarships, grants, and mentoring and training opportunities. In addition, Kid An Offer Winners are inducted into the Kid An Offer Hall of Fame, where they can continue to mentor future winners and run for the Kid An Offer Youth Board.
Winners are divided into two groups: 10 to 14-year-olds and 15 to 18-year-olds. This week's nominees represent the first round of nominees for the 2023 award.
Here's who has been nominated:
10-14 Year Old Nominees- Aiden Haas, 12, Emporia, KS. Aiden founded "Little Libraries" in his community, teamed up to provide first responders with snacks, and is a member of the National Junior Honor Society.
- Jack Bernhardt, 14, Ridgefield, CT. Jack has been volunteering since he was 4 and founded a nonprofit to provide books to children whose families are struggling financially.
- Jada Williams, 13, Chicago, IL. Jada started volunteering at age 5 and leads a group that provides meals to the homeless in her city.
- Ava Rodriguez, 16, San Antonio, TX. Ava created an app that allows people to find and book adaptive sports and recreation activities.
- Ethan Miller, 17, Nashville, TN. Ethan started a nonprofit that provides refurbished musical instruments to students in need.
- Hailey Jones, 18, Portland, OR. Hailey founded an organization that provides free meals to families experiencing food insecurity.
