German royal to become a nurse

Princess Charlotte of Prussia, a cousin of Germany's Prince Georg Friedrich, has announced that she will begin training to become a nurse this autumn.

The 18-year-old princess, who is a direct descendant of Kaiser Wilhelm II, said she had always wanted to work in healthcare.

"I have always been interested in medicine and helping people," she said in a statement. "I am very excited to start my training and to learn more about nursing."

Following in her mother's footsteps

Charlotte's mother, Princess Sophie of Isenburg, is also a nurse. Sophie has worked as a nurse in Germany and in the United Kingdom.

Charlotte said that her mother had inspired her to pursue a career in nursing.

"My mother is an amazing nurse and I have always admired her work," she said. "I am very grateful for her support and guidance."

Training to become a nurse

Charlotte will begin her training at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, one of the largest university hospitals in Europe.

The training program will take three years to complete. During that time, Charlotte will learn about all aspects of nursing, including patient care, medication administration, and wound care.

After completing her training, Charlotte hopes to work as a nurse in a hospital or clinic.

She said: "I am very excited about the future and I am looking forward to making a difference in the lives of others."
