Cologne, Germany - A car crashed into a crowd of people in the Sülz district of Cologne on Tuesday evening, injuring several people.
According to police, the car, a silver Mercedes, mounted the curb on Luxemburger Straße and drove into a group of pedestrians. The driver, a 51-year-old man, was arrested at the scene.
The extent of the injuries is currently unknown, but several people are reported to be in serious condition. Emergency services are on the scene and are treating the injured.

Eyewitness Accounts
Eyewitnesses reported seeing the car speeding down Luxemburger Straße before it mounted the curb and crashed into the crowd.
"I heard a loud bang and then I saw people screaming and running," said one witness. "I saw a car on the sidewalk and people lying on the ground."
Another witness said: "The car came out of nowhere. It just drove straight into the crowd. It was terrible."
