Bryan Adams Wins Bambi Award for Lifetime Achievement
Canadian Singer-Songwriter Honored for His Contributions to Music
Adams Has Sold Over 100 Million Records Worldwide and His Songs Have Been Translated into Many Languages
Bryan Adams has been awarded the Bambi Award for Lifetime Achievement at the 2023 Bambi Awards ceremony in Berlin, Germany. Adams was recognized for his contributions to music, including his global hit songs, including "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" and "Summer of '69."
In his acceptance speech, Adams thanked his fans, his band, and his long-time songwriting partner, Jim Vallance. He also paid tribute to his home country of Canada, saying, "I wouldn't be here tonight without the support of my fellow Canadians."
Adams' career spans over four decades and he has released 14 studio albums, sold over 100 million records worldwide, and his songs have been translated into over 30 languages.
The Bambi Awards are presented annually by the German magazine Bambi to honor excellence in film, television, and music.
Other winners at this year's ceremony included Tom Hanks, who received the Bambi for Best International Film for his role in Elvis, and Dua Lipa, who won Best International Music Artist.
