Bomb from World War II found on construction site in Elsterwerda: Defusing planned for Wednesday
Discovery during construction work
During construction work in Elsterwerda, Brandenburg, a 250-kilogram aerial bomb from the Second World War was found on Monday afternoon. The bomb was discovered on Gröditzer Straße.

As a precaution, the area around the bomb has been cordoned off. On Wednesday, the bomb is to be defused by experts from the ordnance disposal service. For this purpose, the surrounding area will be evacuated within a radius of 300 meters.
